COVID-19 Health Safety
At Garcia Weight Loss and Aesthetic Centers, the safety of our patients and staff is our top priority. We are continuing to follow CDC guidelines and local mandates to help slow the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and keep our communities safe and healthy.
Our Commitments Toward Your Health and Safety
Telehealth Visits & Virtual Consults
Over-the-phone appointments are available to help limit the number of physical interactions with other patients and staff. For weight loss patients, these telehealth visits will be with your wellness consultants. Patients interested in receiving aesthetic services may also book virtual consults with our aesthetic specialist to learn more about our product offerings before scheduling their appointment and prepaying for services.
Our staff is regularly disinfecting all frequently touched surfaces, including countertops, door handles, sinks and toilet flush handles. The exams rooms will be disinfected after each patient, and waiting areas will be wiped down regularly.
Face Masks and Gloves
Due to new face mask ordinances, all staff and patients must wear face masks in our centers. If you do not have a mask, we will gladly provide one for you. To further ensure safety, all staff members will also be wearing gloves.
To respect social distancing, we ask that patients remain at least 6 feet apart in the waiting areas. If the waiting area is full, patients may choose to wait in their car. You may call your local center when you arrive, and we can call you back when it is time for your appointment.
Screening at Doors
No sick patients or staff is allowed at any of our centers. We will be screening at the door for fever and signs of illness. If you are sick, we ask that you reschedule your appointment or opt for a telehealth visit or virtual consult.
Please help us maintain social distancing by leaving guests and family members home during your appointment. Guests are permitted for patients who require an escort or interpreter, but we ask that all other patients come to their appointment alone. Patients who arrive with excessive or unnecessary guests will be asked to have their company wait in their vehicle.
COVID-19 Antibody Testing
Patients who believe they were previously exposed to the SARS-CoV-2 virus that causes COVID-19 may receive IgG antibody testing at their local Garcia center. This test can help determine if a patient has produced antibodies to the virus, even if they have never experienced symptoms. Note that this test does not tell you if you have an active infection. If you believe you currently have COVID-19, speak with your primary care provider about testing options.
The team at Garcia Weight Loss and Aesthetic Centers will continue to update our safety protocols as we get new information and guidance from the CDC and our local government.
