What is hormone replacement?

BioMD hormone therapy is the most convenient and physiologically conducive method of hormone replacement available. It is a method of hormone replacement that has been documented and researched in medical journals since the 1930's, and is designed to meet your individual needs. The hormones we use are administered in the form of Pellets, which are small cylinders larger than a grain of rice but smaller than a “Tic-Tac”.

It involves a simple, painless method of inserting the BioMD hormones directly under the skin, typically in the hip area, after a local anesthetic is applied to numb the area, and only takes about five minutes. The pellet allows for a steady low dose of hormone replacement into the blood stream whenever the body needs it, which allows your body the ability to control the release of the hormone just as it does when your hormones are working naturally. This treatment can last from three to six months, requiring only two or four repeat visits per year.

What are BioMD Hormone Therapy Pellets?

The BioMD hormone therapy pellets are made by compounding pharmacists and delivered in sterile glass vials.  All the materials are FDA approved, and the compounder will provide a certificate of authenticity for all the compounds used.  The pellets for women are derived from soy and other natural plant sources that are specifically engineered to replicate human hormones, and are compounded according to the industry’s highest standards. 

Men receive pure testosterone by either pellet or injection. The testosterone is just pure, natural, biologically equivalent hormones. Your hormone levels will be monitored and adjustments made as necessary.
